Why You Shouldn't Fear Social Media with Pete Atherton | Tuesday 05 March 2019 | Webinar

Event description

Those who work in education often shy away from using social media, largely due to the stigma surrounding it.

But what if we were to tell you there is a thriving community of educators online interacting and sharing ideas every day?

If you're curious, join the author of '50 Ways to Use Technology Enhanced Learning' and Opogo Community Expert Pete Atherton as he addresses the most valuable social media tools for your teaching and how it can also improve your career in education.

What will be covered?

Pete will be talking about ways to use a variety of social media platforms effectively to help improve your teaching practice by:

• Building a rapport with your students

• Understand what it is your students are facing online and in school

• Developing your digital citizenship and networks with other educators

• Monitor your teaching by broadening your visibility, reach and impact of what happens in your classroom

Who will benefit?

If you are new to social media or want to improve how you use social media tools and data, this is for you.
