How to deal with classroom pranks

Yup, we have all had pranksters in class! Every person can name a time when a prank has been played on the teacher. Pranks can be funny, and in my experience, some were very funny that had me laughing with my pupils.

One of the pranks was an April Fool’s day joke where they put a fake rat in my draw that vibrated!! As you may have guessed, I have a phobia of furry rodents. After the initial scream and even they became distressed, I calmly reassured my class I was fine and actually laughed as it was meant in good humour.
